Newcastle Kindergarten
Newcastle Kindergarten opened in January 2024 and provides high-quality childcare and early years education for children aged 8 weeks to 5 years.
The nursery offers a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and develop through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
The kindergarten features three spacious and well-equipped classrooms, each with direct access to our excellent outdoor learning areas. From a dedicated outdoor space for our youngest babies to a large playground for toddlers and pre-school children, our outdoor environments provide opportunities for children to be active, develop new skills, and explore the world around them. Daily outdoor play supports children’s physical development, wellbeing, and understanding of nature as they experience the changing seasons throughout the year.
Located within the Newcastle Family Hub, we are able to work closely with local services and provide families with access to additional support and guidance whenever it may be needed. This partnership helps ensure that children and families can access appropriate services quickly and effectively.
In addition to our nursery provision, Newcastle Kindergarten offers a holiday club for children aged 3–11 years from across the Newcastle area. We maintain strong links with local primary schools and support children as they move on to the next stage of their education.
All meals are freshly prepared on-site each day by our Catering Manager, and convenient on-site parking is available for families. Our experienced team is dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every child can thrive.
Funded places are available for eligible children from the term after they turn 9 months old until they reach 5 years of age.

Funded Entitlement Hours

Babies - We do not offer term time only spaces for babies until the term after they turn 2 years old.

Parents can opt to use the funding on a term time basis 30hrs and choose to pay in the school holidays, or they can use the stretch funding 22.8 hrs over a minimum of two days per week according to their own personal preference.

All children can attend term time only the term after they turn 2 years of age.

15/30 hours term time only or stretched funding (11.4/22.8hrs) according to parent preference.
