Biddulph Kindergarten Celebrates Positive Ofsted Inspection

Biddulph Kindergarten is celebrating a significant milestone after receiving a highly positive Ofsted inspection, less than two years after welcoming its first children through the doors.

Having opened in January 2024, the nursery has quickly established itself as a valued part of the local community, providing high-quality childcare and early years education for children aged from eight weeks to five years. The nursery also offers a before and after school club for pupils attending Kingsfield First School, as well as a holiday club for children aged 3 to 11 years.

The recent Ofsted inspection recognised Biddulph Kindergarten as a warm, nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel happy, safe and motivated to learn.

Inspectors praised the positive relationships between staff and children, commenting:

"Children come into the setting eager to play with their friends. They actively engage in the available activities and demonstrate a positive attitude towards their learning."

The report also highlighted the nursery's commitment to outdoor learning and physical development, noting: "Children benefit greatly from the wide range of experiences offered to them in the outdoor environment. They enjoy playing in the large outdoor space, strengthening their physical skills."

Since opening, Biddulph Kindergarten has remained committed to creating an inspiring environment where children learn through play, curiosity and exploration. The purpose-designed nursery features four dedicated learning rooms, including a specialist baby room with its own secure outdoor space. Children enjoy a rich programme of daily activities, including outdoor adventures, sensory experiences, creative play and nutritious meals freshly prepared on site.

Located within the Biddulph Family Hub, the nursery works closely with local services to provide additional support for families when needed. Strong partnerships with local schools also help ensure children enjoy a smooth and confident transition into primary education.

Laura Young, Nursery Manager at Biddulph Kindergarten, said: "As someone who is proud to be part of the Biddulph community, it means so much to see the nursery already making such a positive difference for local children and families.

"Opening a brand-new nursery is an exciting challenge, and I couldn't be prouder of what our team has achieved in such a short time. We have worked incredibly hard to full potential.

"The feedback from Ofsted reflects the passion and dedication of every member of our team, and we are delighted that the inspector recognised the positive relationships we build with children and the rich learning experiences we provide every day. We look forward to continuing to support even more local families for many years to come."

This latest inspection is a wonderful achievement for the entire team and reflects the dedication, care and enthusiasm shown every day. As Biddulph Kindergarten continues to grow, the nursery remains committed to providing outstanding learning experiences and supporting children to develop the confidence, skills and curiosity they need to flourish.
