Throughout June, children and staff enjoyed the exciting opportunity to discover one of the UK's fastest-growing sports – padel.
Some of our children took part in a fantastic Tots Padel session, where they had great fun learning new skills, building confidence, and staying active in a safe and supportive environment. With padel continuing to grow in popularity, we were delighted to introduce our children to the sport and give them the chance to experience something new.

Physical activity is a vital part of early childhood development, and sessions like these provide so many valuable benefits. As well as improving coordination, balance, strength, and gross motor skills, the activities encouraged teamwork, listening, communication, and resilience as the children embraced new challenges.
The highlight of the day was seeing so many smiles, hearing plenty of laughter, and watching every child enthusiastically give the activities their best effort. We are incredibly proud of how confidently they participated and supported one another throughout the session.
The children's experience followed on from our staff wellbeing initiative, with team members taking part in weekly padel sessions. These sessions have provided a fantastic opportunity for colleagues from across our nurseries to come together, strengthen relationships, enjoy some friendly competition, and prioritise their own health and wellbeing.

Supporting both children's development and staff wellbeing is at the heart of what we do, and opportunities like these reflect our commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles across our nursery community.
Well done to everyone who took part—we're already looking forward to the next session!
